SADiA - User Guide
Top Bar
Title — Name of the current measurement session.
Record — Start measurement recording.
Stop Recording — Stop measurement recording. Measurement data is automatically saved.
Date — Date of the measurement session.
Left Menu
Configure
Select the audio input device used for measurement.
Calibrate
Perform acoustic calibration of the measurement chain. Place the sound calibrator on the microphone and start calibration.
Set Time Intervals
Default (Full day) Configure global sound level limits in dB(A) and dB(C), as well as per octave band.
Add Time Period Create a new measurement period. Each measurement period can be configured independently.
- Time Schedule — Set the start and end times of the measurement period.
- Limit Levels — Define the applicable sound level limit values for this period.
Multiple measurement periods with their own time schedules and limit values can be defined.
Offset
- A-weighting Offset (dB(A)) — Set correction offsets for A-weighted levels.
- C-weighting Offset (dB(C)) — Set correction offsets for C-weighted levels.
Display
Show Spectrum — Enable or disable octave-band spectrum display.
Secondary Integration Period Define the duration in seconds of the secondary LAeq, displayed alongside the standard 15-minute LAeq. Where applicable, an indicative time remaining before a limit exceedance, or before returning below the limit, is also displayed.
Level Bars
- Segments — Number of bars.
- dB / segment — Step size in dB between consecutive bars.
- Red from — Bar number from which bars turn red (overload indicator).
Blinking When the limit is reached, the level indicator and its frame turn red. Blinking provides an additional alert: it is triggered only when the level exceeds the limit by a further configurable amount.
- Enable blinking — Enable or disable the blinking frame when a limit is exceeded.
- dB(A) — A-weighted level offset above the limit (dB(A)) at which the frame around the level indicator starts blinking. Default: 0.1 dB — the frame blinks as soon as the limit is exceeded.
- dB(C) — C-weighted level offset above the limit (dB(C)) at which the frame around the level indicator starts blinking. Default: 0.1 dB — the frame blinks as soon as the limit is exceeded.
Spectrum Y-Axis Range
- Minimum dB — Minimum value (dB) on the Y-axis of the spectrum display.
- Maximum dB — Maximum value (dB) on the Y-axis of the spectrum display.
Save — Apply and save display settings.
Two display modes are available:
- Without Spectrum — Only global level indicators are displayed.
- With Spectrum — Octave-band spectrum and thresholds are displayed.
Measurement Indicators
LAeq,15 min — A-weighted equivalent continuous sound pressure level over a 15-minute measurement interval.
LCeq,15 min — C-weighted equivalent continuous sound pressure level over a 15-minute measurement interval.
Level Status
| Color | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Green | Below limit |
| Orange | Approaching limit |
| Red | Exceeds limit |
Spectrum View
Octave-Band Spectrum
Equivalent continuous sound pressure levels per octave band, over a 10-second integration period.
Threshold — Limit level per octave band.
Legend
| Color | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Green | Octave-band level is below the threshold |
| Red | Octave-band level is above the threshold |
| Yellow dashed line | Threshold |
